And I awoke
By your name
By the longing form of view
That keeps you safe
And there's a room
You hold your blame
Where I know everything there is to know about you
And I've heard
The sound is not the end, but something learned
I wanted you to be there so I wrote
My aches, and my selfish little bones
I wondered why you came so close
And you bring fire to
You bring fire to me
And I never thought I could be
Something halved
Something wrong by all decree, you
Gave me eyes of resonance
And I've become some man of trust
And I never thought of us, but someone else
I leave alone but somehow you know that it's true
That you bring fire to
You bring fire to me
You bring fire to
You bring fire
And I never thought I could be
Something bound
Something bent for no defeat, you
Gave me lies but confidence
You bring fire to
You bring fire to me
You bring fire to
You bring fire
My aches, and my selfish little bones
I wondered why you
I wondered why.
This album is pretty much a rollercoaster. Starting off with Desolate.Magnificent, it slowly builds up with it's ambient and foggy sound. You keep thinking to yourself "This is nice and all... but when does the rollercoaster even start?" when right at the 2:47 mark you get launched backwards. Great fucking album. Keep it up! It's ambient sections always help me relax and calm down, it's energetic sections... well energize me!! zo
Julien Baker is an acquired taste - assuming of course you’ve acquired great taste in singer songwriters… beautiful, devastating, honest, insightful… I’ve not heard a single song of hers that hasn’t left me in absolute awe. crisbroadhurst
An earthy yet somewhat chilly record about life, death, and reconnection, the latest from LOMA experiments with a turn towards the gloomy. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 16, 2024
